Lab Resources

Our lab supports collaborative learning, interdisciplinary scholarship, and cultural engagement by providing students with an environment for conducting research, collaborating on projects, and engaging with historical and contemporary issues related to Oceania and its diaspora.

Pasifika Research Lab

Located in Waldo Hall, the Pasifika Research Lab serves as a collaborative work space for students involved in Indigenous Pacific Studies research under the direction of Dr. Patricia Fifita at Oregon State University. The space supports community-centered learning, interdisciplinary scholarship, and cultural engagement by providing students with an environment to conduct research, collaborate on projects, and engage with historical and contemporary issues related to Oceania and its diaspora. The lab also functions as a resource hub for archival work and community initiatives, fostering connections between students, faculty, and the broader Pacific Islander and Indigenous communities.

Indigenous Pacific Studies @ Fairbanks Hall

The Center for Material Cultures Research (CMCR) is home to a new  Indigenous Studies space for collaborative student engagement, research, cultural preservation, and community-centered learning. The center provides an environment for meetings, workshops, archival projects, and interdisciplinary collaboration while supporting the continuation and visibility of the cultures, histories, and knowledge systems of the Indigenous people of the Americas and the Pacific Islands.
